Awards
Gitte Lindgaard Award: Best Long Paper
Since 2002, CHISIG has presented the Gitte Lindgaard Award for the best long paper presented during OzCHI, CHISIG's Annual Conference. Reviewers will be given the opportunity to nominate a paper for the award during the review process.
Steve Howard Award: Best Long Paper by a Student
Since 2014, the Steve Howard Award has been presented to the best long paper by a student. This award recognises the late Professor Steve Howard's commitment to supporting and developing excellence in Research Higher Degree students. To be nominated, the first author of the long paper must be an enrolled student.
Note: In the event that the best long paper (and recipient of the Gitte Lindgaard award) is a student paper, the Steve Howard award will be presented to the second-best student paper. Student authors are therefore not precluded from wining the Gitte Lindgaard award.
Best Reviewer Award
In order to recognise the contribution of OzCHI reviewers, this year we will be inaugurating an award for 'Best Reviewer'. This award will be awarded based on the number, depth and critical contribution of reviews. Upon receiving their reviews, authors will be invited to nominate their anonymous reviewers for this award.
