Long Papers and Short Papers

Long and Short Papers are invited on all areas of research in HCI. Short papers are also invited by those working in relevant industries.

The Long Paper deadline has now passed. Short Paper submissions close 30 August.

Short Papers

Short papers, 4 pages in length, provide the opportunity to describe new work or work that is still in progress that could benefit from discussion with members of the HCI community. They may include experiences of reflective practitioners, preliminary work, work in progress and first drafts of novel concepts and approaches.Short papers will be subject to a double blind review process by at least three peer reviewers and evaluated on the basis of their significance, originality, and clarity of writing. This review will be based on the full text of the submitted paper.

Short papers are due on Monday 30 August. Acceptance notification is on Friday 24 September.

Short and long papers will be included in the USB proceedings and archived in the ACM digital library.

Long Papers

Long papers, 8 pages in length, on original and substantive new work in any area of HCI are invited. They should describe work that makes a significant contribution to the state of the art.

Long papers will be subject to a double blind review process by an international panel and evaluated on the basis of their significance, originality, and clarity of writing. This review will be based on the full text of the submitted paper.

Long papers submission is closed on Friday 2 July.
