Abstract
Inclusion is about making sure that people of all backgrounds, abilities and perspectives not only have equal access, but also feel a sense of belonging in our place of work. When starting a new job, the onboarding experience is pivotal to making sure we demonstrate a culture of inclusion. Creating this experience is not just the right thing to do. In a world with increasingly complex problems to solve, welcoming different people with different voices to the table is critical to driving solutions. This presentation will describe PwC's journey to identify and remove inherent bias in its onboarding process by challenging some of the time-honoured design practices of Experience Design.
