OzCHI 2017 aims to bring together academics and industry practitioners with an interest in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience Design. There will be several events as part of the OzCHi 2017 Industry Days: We are planning to hold a CHI/UX Industry Symposium on Tuesday 28th November. Wednesday 29th November will have a dedicated track with a special focus on practical information and case studies for industry practitioners. Industry attendees can choose to attend individual days or the whole conference to fully immerse themselves in the latest academic and practical thinking, as well as giving themselves the greatest opportunities to meet and liaise with colleagues from across Australia, and around the world.
We are planning to hold a CHI/UX Industry symposium on Tuesday 28th November. The objective of this symposium is to discuss in form of a “thought hackathon” how academia and industry can collaborate better and come up with a future vision. We would like to invite you to submit an abstract (up to 250 words) with topics you would like to discuss during the symposium. Accepted abstracts will form the basis of short presentations, discussions and further activities we run throughout the day, using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® amongst other techniques to co-design a vision for the CHI/UX community for future collaboration.
Topics might include but are not limited to:
Please let us know if you are interested to facilitate a session on the suggested topic.
Submit an abstract via email directly to industry.chair@ozchi.org. The participation in the Industry Symposium is free of charge, but you need to register for this event.
